All ski resorts offer a wide range of different employment opportunities during the winter months, you don't have to be the most highly trained ski instructor or a fully qualified chef to land a great job in a top ski resort.
The first thing we would recommend doing is checking out some of the different jobs that are available in the resort you are hoping to work in, if you have one in mind, and then try to identify positions that you think you qualify for.
If you feel like you only have limited qualifications don't panic, there are still so many opportunities that really just require hard working individuals who are reliable, trustworthy and have great customer service skills, these types of roles include lift operators, kitchen staff, ticket sales, minibus drivers (you will need a driving license) and other housekeeping positions. These might not be the most glamorous of positions but you will still get to spend you winter working in an amazing ski resort and have a fantastic time.
Most employers simply require that staff are at least 18 years old. So basically anyone can apply as long as you have the right attitude and personality.
If you would like to apply for a more skilled position then take a little time to research some training courses that are available. You can often take some kind of cooking class in your home town, this will certainly help your application if you are looking to work as a chalet host or in a restaurant. You can look to take some basic accounting classes which could help with an application to work in a position related to finance you could also research some of the companies which run training courses to teach you how to be a ski or snow board instructor, there are many of these companies operating and if you get qualified and land a job in a resort you will be able to spend almost everyday on the mountain.
In addition there are also a number of courses, especially in the UK, for individuals who are looking to work in a ski resort. The focus on training you to work in positions such as ski resort reps and chalet host.
