I spent six months working in Lake Tahoe, California. It was an amazing experience. The resort is right on the lake with amazing views from the top of the mountains. I worked in one of the many motels that are located in the area near ‘Stateline’. My job involved working on the reception taking bookings, answering the telephone and helping guests with any of their needs. The hours were long and the pay wasn’t great but it was a fantastic experience. We were based right near all the casinos and nightlife, with the lifts of Heavenly Mountain only a short walk away. I would usually get one day a week off and we would obviously have all the perks of the resort staff with free lift tickets etc. In the resort people play hard and work hard. It is long hours, with a lot of work, skiing and partying. You will meet some great people and have the experience of a lifetime.
